Week 9 of the 2020 NFL Season is upon us and we still have one unbeaten team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Lamar Jackson showing yet again that he cannot win the bigger games!

Can Josh Allen get out of his slump against the Seahawks? Probably. Will the Cowboys be able to slow down the Steelers? Definitely not! Will Brady look to throw a deep ball to Antonio Brown? Without doubt! Heres your week 9 early games starts/sits!

Don’t forget to keep your #EyesPeeled for tomorrow’s podcast where we dive into a full preview of the weekend games and make sure you head over to Twitter (@F10YFantasy) for “Start ‘em, sit ‘em, GIF ‘EM!”.

Thursday Night Football

Green Bay Packers @ San Francisco 49ers

Start of the Game

JaMycal Hasty (RB) – San Francisco 49ers

JaMycal Hasty was the 49ers primary running back in week 8 and he should continue in the role with Tevin Coleman already listed as out. The Packers defence against running backs is awful and Nick Mullens is under centre for San Francisco increasing the touches Hasty should get.

Other Notable Starts

Green Bay Packers – Aaron Rodgers (QB), Aaron Jones (RB), Davante Adams (WR)

San Francisco 49ers – Jordan Reed (TE)

Sit of the Game

Robert Tonyan (TE) – Green Bay Packers

Tonyan is having a very productive season and led the Packers in receiving yards against the Vikings in week 8 but he has a tough one against the 49ers. San Francisco have not allowed a touchdown to opposing tight ends all season and are allowing the sixth fewest fantasy points to the position.

Other Notable Sits

Green Bay Packers – N/A

San Francisco 49ers – Nick Mullens (QB)

Sunday Early Games

New York Giants @ Washington Football Team

Start of the Game

Evan Engram (TE) – New York Giants

Engram caught five of ten targets for 62 yards in the Giants loss to the ‘Bucs’. His target numbers are going up along with the overall yardage. This week will be a great opportunity to get his first touchdown catch of the season!

Other Notable Starts

New York Giants – Wayne Gallman (RB), D/ST

Washington Football Team – Antonio Gibson (RB), Terry McLaurin (WR), Logan Thomas (TE), D/ST

Sit of the Game

Darius Slayton (WR) – New York Giants

Slayton has fallen behind Sterling Shepherd in the Giants wide receiver pecking order and it appeared as though he was struggling to get on the same page as quarterback Daniel Jones in week 8. He was targeted a good number of times against the ‘Bucs’ but the Giants threw the ball an abnormally high number of times meaning it’s difficult to trust he will continue to get those targets.

Other Notable Sits

New York Giants – Daniel Jones (QB)

Washington Football Team – J.D. McKissic

Chicago Bears @ Tennessee Titans

Start of the Game

David Montgomery (RB) – Chicago Bears

Montgomery is only averaging 55.25 rushing yards a game and 3.8 yards a carry! There were high hopes for Montgomery heading into his second year but the health of his offensive line hasn’t help the situation. This week he faces a Titans defence that are weak against the run, allowing four rushing touchdowns in the past three games and eight different running backs have posted a fantasy score of 9.90 or more this season!

Other Notable Starts

Chicago Bears – Nick Foles (QB), Allen Robinson (WR), Darnell Mooney (WR)

Tennessee Titans – Derrick Henry (RB), A.J. Brown (WR)

Sit of the Game

Jimmy Graham (TE) – Chicago Bears

Graham caught only two passes last week and dropped the ball on multiple occasions! The Titans may have issues in the middle of the field but Grahams usage is fading due to the production of the wide receivers and Cole Kmet.

Other Notable Sits

Chicago Bears – N/A

Tennessee Titans – Ryan Tannehill (QB), Carey Davis (WR), Jonnu Smith (TE)

Detroit Lions @ Minnesota Vikings

Start of the Game

Marvin Jones (WR) – Detroit Lions

This is dependant on Matthew Stafford gaining covid clearance for Sundays game but Jones is playing like a true WR1 right now after a slow start to the season. This is a very favourable matchup and if Kenny Golladay is out, Jones’ targets and opportunities should go up.

Other Notable Starts

Detroit Lions – T.J. Hockenson (TE)

Minnesota Vikings – Kirk Cousins (QB), Dalvin Cook (RB), Adam Thielen (WR), Justin Jefferson (WR)

Sit of the Game

D’Andre Swift (RB) – Detroit Lions

Swift was slightly rattled last week against the Colts and is tough to pick is this tricky matchup against a Vikings defence that are starting to play better against the run. He will be sharing the load with Adrian Peterson and, Kerryon Johnson is also a complicating factor. It is just too risky in standard fantasy formats.

Other Notable Sits

Detroit Lions – N/A

Minnesota Vikings – D/ST

Carolina Panthers @ Kansas City Chiefs

Start of the Game

Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB) – Kansas City Chiefs

Edwards-Helaire struggled to get anything going in week 8 against the Jets but don’t be put off in this one. The Panthers defence have struggled to defend against opposing running backs so look for him to get back on track.

Other Notable Starts

Carolina Panthers – Christian McCaffrey (RB), D.J. Moore (WR), Robby Anderson (WR)

Kansas City Chiefs – Patrick Mahomes (QB), Tyreek Hill (WR), Travis Kelce (TE)

Sit of the Game

Teddy Bridgewater (QB) – Carolina Panthers

Bridgewater started last weeks game against the Falcons well but then managed to completely disappear in the second half! He struggles against teams that can blitz effectively and there could be a few interceptions for him in this one.

Other Notable Sits

Carolina Panthers – Curtis Samuel (WR)

Kansas City Chiefs – Le’Veon Bell (RB)

Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Start of the Game

David Johnson (RB) – Houston Texans

Johnson struggled on the ground in his last game at home to the Packers, averaging just 3 yards per carry but this week will be more productive. The Jaguars defense was a mess before the bye week so Johnson should have a good outing with at least one touchdown.

Other Notable Starts

Houston TexansDeshaun Watson (QB), Will Fuller (WR), Brandin Cooks (WR)

Jacksonville JaguarsJames Robinson (RB)

Sit of the Game

DJ Chark (WR) – Jacksonville Jaguars

Chark recorded just one catch in his last outing and with Gardiner Minshew missing this one with a thumb injury, it’s hard to see any reason to start him. The Texans will also have Bradley Roby back which wont make his life any easier.

Other Notable Sits

Houston Texans Darren Fells (TE)

Jacksonville Jaguars – D/ST

Baltimore Ravens @ Indianapolis Colts

Start of the Game

Gus Edwards (RB) & JK Dobbins (RB)Baltimore Ravens

There is no doubting this is a tough matchup but with Lamar Jackson struggling in the passing game the Ravens could lean more or the run. If Mark Ingram misses out again, both Edwards and Dobbins will have more opportunities.

Other Notable Starts

Baltimore Ravens – Mark Andrews (TE)

Indianapolis Colts – D/ST

Sit of the Game

Lamar Jackson (QB) – Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson once again struggled in a big game matchup, this time against the Steelers in week 8. He has upside with his running ability but the passing woes continue. The Colts have a good defence which should slow Lamar down. You should have better options in your team this week.

Other Notable Sits

Baltimore Ravens – Marquis Brown (WR)

Indianapolis Colts – Philip Rivers (QB), Jonathan Taylor (RB), Trey Burton (TE)

Seattle Seahawks @ Buffalo Bills

Start of the Game

Russell Wilson (QB) – Seattle Seahawks

Wilson is currently the front runner for league MVP in many people’s eyes and it’s easy to see why. He is averaging 30.3 fantasy points per game and with the receiving group he currently has, there is no reason to think he will slow down anytime soon. The Bills defence are allowing opposing quarterbacks to score an average of 19 fantasy points a game and with injuries at the running back position, we could see the Seahawks spend most of the day attacking through the air.

Other Notable Starts

Seattle Seahawks – Chris Carson (RB), DK Metcalf (WR), Tyler Lockett (WR)

Buffalo Bills – Josh Allen (QB), Stefon Diggs (WR)

Sit of the Game

Devin Singletary (RB) – Buffalo Bills

Singletary had a good game against a poor Patriots defence but he is splitting the workload with Zack Moss so their fantasy value is very touchdown dependent. The Seahawks have been pretty good against the run recently as well.

Other Notable Sits

Seattle Seahawks – D/ST

Buffalo Bills – Zack Moss (RB), D/ST

Denver Broncos @ Atlanta Falcons

Start of the Game

Matt Ryan (QB) – Atlanta Falcons

Matt Ryan has a solid showing in his last game completing 21-30 passes for 281 yards. He may well be missing some key weapons on offense but the Denver Broncos defence are struggling to cover receivers inside and outside the numbers!

Other Notable Starts

Denver Broncos – Drew Lock (QB), Philip Lindsay (RB), Jerry Jeudy (WR), Noah Fant (TE)

Atlanta Falcons – Todd Gurley (RB), Julio Jones (WR), Hayden Hurst (TE)

Sit of the Game

Melvin Gordon (RB) – Denver Broncos

Gordon did very little on the ground against the Chargers with eight carries for just 26 yards. He salvaged his fantasy stats with six receptions from seven targets for 21 yards. Philip Lindsay is outplaying Gordon right now so it’s difficult to trust him in a game that should be a good matchup for him.

Other Notable Sits

Denver Broncos – D/ST

Atlanta Falcons – D/ST
