Is it really week 8 already?! The halfway point for most fantasy leagues. Are you the Pittsburgh Steelers; unbeaten and looking good for a deep playoff run? Are you the New York Jets; winless and knowing the season is over? Or are you simply stumbling through the season like Daniel Jones in the open field; looking good before falling flat on your face!

The five late games this week contain three divisional matchups, including the Cowboys against the Eagles in the battle to be the best of the worst! It’s time for your late games starts and sits.

Don’t forget to keep your #EyesPeeled for tomorrow’s podcast where we dive into a full preview of the weekend games and make sure you head over to Twitter (@F10YFantasy) for “Start ‘em, sit ‘em, GIF ‘EM!”.

Spoiler alert: Tom Brady is a start ‘em.

Sunday Late Games

LA Chargers @ Denver Broncos

Start of the Game

Justin Herbert (QB) – LA Chargers

Herbert is averaging 25.16 fantasy points this year, which puts him as QB4! He can hurt teams with his arm and legs and the Broncos has given up some solid fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks making Herbert a definite starter!

Other Notable Starts

LA Chargers – Keenan Allen (WR), Hunter Henry (TE), D/ST

Denver Broncos – Melvin Gordon (RB), Noah Fant (TE)

Sit of the Game

Mike Williams (WR) – LA Chargers

Williams had just one reception for four yards in week 7 and has only had 1 good fantasy week all season. Herbert is spreading the ball around well but not often to Williams.

Other Notable Sits

LA Chargers – Justin Jackson (RB)

Denver Broncos – D/ST

San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks

Start of the Game

Brandon Aiyuk (WR) San Francisco 49ers

Aiyuk had a very productive game against the Patriots scoring 18.5 fantasy points. This week he faces a Seahawks defence that have given up the most yards per game to wide receivers at 280.2! With Deebo Samuel missing due to a hamstring injury, Aiyuk could get a bigger share of the workload.

Other Notable Starts

San Francisco 49ers – Tevin Coleman (RB), George Kittle (TE)

Seattle Seahawks – Russell Wilson (QB), DK Metcalf (WR), Tyler Lockett (WR)

Sit of the Game

Carlos Hyde (RB) – Seattle Seahawks

The 49ers defence shut down the Patriots running game and they should do the same to Seattle. Hyde is also struggling with a hamstring injury that could limit his production.

Other Notable Sits

San Francisco 49ers – D/ST

Seattle Seahawks – D/ST

New Orleans Saints @ Chicago Bears

Start of the Game

Jared Cook (TE) – New Orleans Saints

Cook has been an integral part of the Saints offence and with the current injury issues at the wide receiver position, he should be busy again. The Bears also have problems covering tight ends in the red zone.

Other Notable Starts

New Orleans Saints – Alvin Kamara (RB)

Chicago Bears – Nick Foles (QB), Allen Robinson (WR), D/ST

Sit of the Game

Drew Brees (QB) – New Orleans Saints

The Bears pass defence is very good! In fact, they allow the fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks in the league. Brees may also be short in the wide receiver department with Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders likely to be missing in what should be a run heavy game plan for the Saints.

Other Notable Sits

New Orleans Saints – Tre’Quan Smith (WR), D/ST

Chicago Bears – David Montgomery (RB)

Sunday Night Football

Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles

Start of the Game

Carson Wentz (QB) – Philadelphia Eagles

Wentz has gone over 27 fantasy points in the past two games and has 21+ fantasy points in four of the last five. Rushing touchdowns have helped these totals. This week its the Dallas Cowboys and their non-existent defence. In the battle to be the best of the worst, the Eagles are looking slightly less ‘worst‘ than the rest.

Other Notable Starts

Dallas Cowboys – Ezekiel Elliott (RB), Amari Cooper (WR), Ceedee Lamb (WR), Dalton Schultz (TE)

Philadelphia Eagles – Boston Scott (RB), Travis Fulgham (WR), Dallas Goedert (TE)

Sit of the Game

Michael Gallup (WR) – Dallas Cowboys

Gallup was shutout in week 7 against Washington and he scored just 4.3 fantasy points in week 6. The Cowboys offense is struggling without Dak Prescott but Gallup has taken the biggest hit. The Eagles defence aren’t great but the Cowboys offensive line is struggling to protect their QB.

Other Notable Sits

Dallas Cowboys – D/ST

Philadelphia Eagles – N/A

Monday Night Football

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New York Giants

Start of the Game

Tom Brady (QB) – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Brady put up 36.8 fantasy points in week 8 against the Raiders. The Bucs’ passing game is looking great and Brady is rolling back the years. Chris Godwin may be missing but Brady and the Bucs’ shouldn’t have any issues against the Giants.

Other Notable Starts

Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Ronald Jones (RB), Scotty Miller (WR), Rob Gronkowski (TE), D/ST

New York Giants – N/A

Sit of the Game

Mike Evans (WR) – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

With Chris Godwin out with an injury, most people may look at Evans and think of him as a starter but I’m on the other side. Evans has been a massive disappointment and is clearly hurting more than we know. Scotty Miller and ‘Gronk’ are ahead of him in the pecking order and Evans should see a lot of James Bradbury in this one.

Other Notable Sits

Tampa Bay Buccaneers – N/A

New York Giants – Daniel Jones (QB), Wayne Gallman (RB), Dion Lewis (RB), Darius Slayton (WR)
