Week 12 was a challenging one for fantasy owners! The unknown around the Ravens vs Steelers game may have led you to start players just because you knew they would actually play and week 13 isn’t going to get much better. This weeks schedule has no Thursday night game, two games on Monday and a game on Tuesday, then add in the usual assortment of Covid and injury concerns in a pivotal week for fantasy owners and its safe to say that line-up decisions are becoming ever more difficult.

For most people, week 13 of the NFL season will be your final fantasy week before heading into the playoffs. Hopefully you are fighting for a first round bye and not heading into the consolation bracket but either way we are here to assist you with the start/sits for this week.

Don’t forget to keep your #EyesPeeled for tomorrow’s podcast where we dive into a full preview of the weekend games and make sure you head over to Twitter (@F10YFantasy) for “Start ‘em, sit ‘em, GIF ‘EM!”.

Sunday Early Games

Cleveland Browns @ Tennessee Titans

Start of the Game

A.J. Brown (WR) – Tennessee Titans

I think the Titans have a few ‘must starts’ in this one but A.J. Brown is my Start of the Game. He has a touchdown reception in 7 of his last 9 games and has scored at least 20 fantasy points in 5 of 9, all without commanding double digit targets in any game. He has a good matchup in this one and should be putting up WR1 numbers.

Other Notable Starts

Cleveland Browns – Nick Chubb (RB), Kareem Hunt (RB), Jarvis Landry (WR)

Tennessee Titans – Ryan Tannehill (QB), Derrick Henry (RB), Corey Davis (WR)

Sit of the Game

Austin Hooper (TE) – Cleveland Browns

This one could come back to haunt me but Hooper is so touchdown dependant right now. Since his return from an appendectomy, he is averaging just two receptions and 19 yards per game. The Titans are ranked 26th against opposing tight ends with seven touchdowns allowed but it’s a big risk unless you have no other options.

Other Notable Sits

Cleveland Browns – N/A

Tennessee Titans – D/ST

Las Vegas Raiders @ New York Jets

Start of the Game

Nelson Agholor (WR) – Las Vegas Raiders

Agholor’s targets have improved considerably in the past two weeks with nine against the Chiefs and six versus the Falcons. He is dangerous on the deep ball and is up against a Jets defense that can be very generous.

Other Notable Starts

Las Vegas Raiders – Derek Carr (QB), Devontae Booker (RB), Darren Waller (TE), D/ST

New York Jets – Frank Gore (RB), Breshard Perriman (WR)

Sit of the Game

Sam Darnold (QB) – New York Jets

I had high hopes for Darnold heading into 2020 but its been nothing short of a disaster. He is 0-7 this year, has just six touchdown drives, is the lowest rated passer in the league with a rating of 64 and has gone four straight games without throwing a touchdown. You cant start him!

Other Notable Sits

Las Vegas RaidersN/A

New York JetsChris Herndon (TE), D/ST

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Minnesota Vikings

Start of the Game

Kirk Cousins (QB) – Minnesota Vikings

Cousins has thrown 11 touchdowns over his past four games and has amassed at least 290 yards in his last three. This week he faces a Jaguars defence that has allowed the third most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Jacksonville allow an average of 295 passing yards per game and have conceded 18 total touchdowns in the last eight games!

Other Notable Starts

Jacksonville Jaguars – James Robinson (RB), D.J. Chark (WR)

Minnesota VikingsDalvin Cook (RB), Adam Thielen (WR), Justin Jefferson (WR), D/ST

Sit of the Game

Tyler Eifert (TE) – Jacksonville Jaguars

In week 12, Eifert caught three of four targets for 16 yards and a touchdown. He only has a small involvement in the passing game and with D.J. Chark expected to return, he could become even less of a factor. He is another one that is too touchdown dependant to start.

Other Notable Sits

Jacksonville JaguarsMike Glennon (QB)

Minnesota Vikings – N/A

Cincinnati Bengals @ Miami dolphins

Start of the Game

DeVante Parker (WR) – Miami Dolphins

In week 12, Parker had a great day hauling in eight of his 14 targets for 119 yards. He looks a lot more comfortable with Ryan Fitzpatrick playing QB and if that continues this week, Parker could have another big day.

Other Notable Starts

Cincinnati Bengals – Tee Higgins (WR)

Miami Dolphins – Ryan Fitzpatrick (QB) – if he starts

Sit of the Game

Mike Gesicki (TE) – Miami Dolphins

One person who will certainly be hoping that Ryan Fitzpatrick in under centre in Mike Gesicki! He has been pretty ineffective with Tua playing QB and had a better return in week 12 when ‘Fitz’ started. He had two catches on five targets and a touchdown but there is too much uncertainty around who will be throwing the ball this week.

Other Notable Sits

Cincinnati Bengals – Tyler Boyd (WR)

Miami Dolphins – N/A

Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans

Start of the Game

Philip Rivers (QB) – Indianapolis Colts

Rivers completed 24 of 42 pass attempts for 295 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the week 12 loss to the Titans. The Colts were playing from behind all day which meant Rivers had to throw the ball more. This one should be a shootout so expect high volume for Rivers again.

Other Notable Starts

Indianapolis ColtsPhilip Rivers (QB), Jonathan Taylor (RB), T.Y. Hilton (WR), Trey Burton (TE)

Houston TexansDeshaun Watson (QB), Brandin Cooks (WR)

Sit of the Game

Duke Johnson (RB) – Houston Texans

The Colts got gashed by Derrick Henry last week but don’t fall into the trap of thinking they are a bad run defence. The Colts have allowed two 100 yard rushers all season – both Henry! Johnson is not the king.

Other Notable Sits

Indianapolis Colts D/ST

Houston TexansN/A

Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears

Start of the Game

D’Andre Swift (RB)Detroit Lions

Swift has cleared concussion protocol and should be good to start on Sunday. Before his injury, Swift was leading the backfield for the Lions and in week 10 he had a season high 16 rushing attempts for 81 yards. Its not an easy matchup but Swift should see production.

Other Notable Starts

Detroit Lions – Matthew Stafford (QB), T.J. Hockenson (TE)

Chicago Bears – Mitchell Trubisky (QB), David Montgomery (RB)

Sit of the Game

Marvin Jones Jr. (WR) – Detroit Lions

Marvin Jones has piled up 28 targets in the past three games but finished just third on the team in receiving yards. He is up against a stingy Bears defence this week and with Kenny Golladay possibly returning, his production could go down.

Other Notable Sits

Detroit Lions – D/ST

Chicago Bears – Jimmy Graham (TE)

New Orleans Saints @ Atlanta Falcons

Start of the Game

Taysom Hill (QB) – New Orleans Saints

A couple of weeks ago, Taysom Hill faced the Falcons in his first start at QB and had 233 yards passing and two rushing touchdowns. A dual threat quarterback against a defence that allow the second most fantasy points to opposing QBs, Hill is a must start!

Other Notable Starts

New Orleans Saints – Alvin Kamara (RB), Michael Thomas (WR), D/ST

Atlanta FalconsJulio Jones (WR) – if he starts, Calvin Ridley (WR), Hayden Hurst (TE)

Sit of the Game

Matt Ryan (QB) – Atlanta Falcons

Ryan completed 22 of 39 pass attempts for 185 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the week 12 blowout win against the Raiders. However, he has been held to two or fewer passing touchdowns in four of his last six performances and against the Saints in week 11 he had no touchdowns, two interceptions and completed just 51% of his passes. Julio Jones may also be missing. Seems too risky.

Other Notable Sits

New Orleans SaintsLatavius Murray (RB)

Atlanta Falcons Todd Gurley (RB), D/ST
