So heading into week three we are starting to get a better idea of the top players at each position and which teams may be struggling. The main problem right now is consistency and who can we rely on to pick up those points? And which QB can we pick that hopefully won’t get injured! Heres our picks for DraftKings week 3!

QB – Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys vs Miami Dolphins – $6,500

Through two games, Dak is averaging 32.5 FPPG and has thrown 7 TD and just 1 interception. He is also a threat with his legs, adding 69 yards on 5 carries against the Redskins. Jason Witten is rolling back the years and Amari Cooper is a reliable receiver. Add Ezekiel Elliott and a strong o-line into the mix and this Cowboys team is stacked with talent where Dak is in the centre piece.

Now the big selling point, he is at home against the tanking Miami Dolphins! The Dolphins are giving up 45 points per game, averaging 316.5 yards against them and they have just traded their best player on the defensive side of the ball in Minkah Fitzpatrick. Look for Dak to put up big numbers this week!

RB – Dalvin Cook – Minnesota Vikings vs Oakland Raiders – $7,800

Cook has had a great start to the year and is coming off of a monster game where he rushed for 154 yards and had three receptions for 37 yards. He is averaging 30.1 FPPG and 132.5 yards per game as well as leading the league in rushing.

Cook has been a workhorse for the Vikings, with his 46 touches through two games, and he will continue to see a heavy load this week. He is up against a good run defense on Sunday as the Raiders are ranked number 5 for rush defense but they are also ranked dead last for passing defense. Cook will be involved and will always have opportunities to make plays.

RB – Austin Ekeler – LA Chargers vs Houston Texans – $7,200

Austin Ekeler has been the big surprise package through the first two weeks of the season. His big performances aren’t helping Melvin Gordon’s case for that big contract but he is helping fantasy owners.

He is only averaging 62 yards a game on the ground but 81.5 yards receiving! This had led to Ekeler averaging 31.9 FPPG in PPR formats and he is up against a Texans defense that is ranked 23 against the rush and 22 against the pass. He will likely get a large portion of the reps in front of Justin Jackson once again this week.

WR – Sammy Watkins – Kansas City Chiefs vs Baltimore Ravens – $6,800

The Chiefs just love to throw the ball deep. Watkins had a massive game week 1 racking up 30.4 fantasy points and after a quiet week 2 game, look for him to bounce back in what should be an exciting game against the Ravens.

The Chiefs offense can explode at any moment and this game has the potential to be high scoring. The Ravens are ranked number 1 against the run but just 18th against the pass. Oh, and he has Mahomes throwing him the ball which always sways the directional arrow to trending up!

WR – Larry Fitzgerald – Arizona Cardinals vs Carolina Panthers – $5,100

Larry Fitzgerald is having a little bit of a resurgence after back to back 100 yards games. The first time this has happened since weeks 2 and 3 of 2015! The strong start by Kyler Murray is allowing Fitz to finally put up some decent fantasy numbers.

He is averaging 23.4 FPPG and 108.5 yards per game. Carolina travel to the desert this Sunday and although they are ranked 3rd in passing defense, they will have to account for Murray using his legs as they are only ranked 25th against the rush! Look for Fitzgerald to be targeted early off of play action.

WR – Deebo Samuel – San Francisco 49ers vs Pittsburgh Steelers – $4,500

The 49ers have had a very good start to the season and currently sit at 2-0. Deebo is someone to keep an eye on for the future but with his value set at just $4,500, he is worth the gamble this week.

Last week against the Bengals he achieved 20.4 fantasy points with 87 yards from 5 recep-tions and 1 TD. He led the team in targets (7) and will look to keep improving against a Steelers team that has lost Big Ben Roethlisberger and the first two games of the season. The Steelers are ranked 29th against the pass giving up an average of 320 yards per game.

TE – Mark Andrews – Baltimore Ravens @ Kansas City Chiefs – $4,600

Andrews is proving to be a beast and a bargain at tight end. Averaging 28 FPPG and 110 yards per game, Andrews is the solid choice. Against a Chiefs defense that is ranked 20th against the pass he should see plenty of targets. The Chiefs have had problems defending against tight ends in recent times and Andrews is fast becoming Lamar Jackson’s go-to guy.

FLEX – Nelson Agholor – Philadelphia Eagles vs Detroit Lions – $3,600

The Eagles are banged up at the receiver position. It is unclear whether Alshon Jeffrey and DeSean Jackson will be available this Sunday against Detroit. If they can’t go, Agholor will quickly become the starter and could be the bargain buy this week at just $3,600.

He amassed 27.7 points last week against the Atlanta Falcons and could see similar numbers against the Lions. Putting Agholor at the flex position gives you the option to swap him out for another WR/RB/TE should both Jeffrey and Jackson be declared fit to start.

DST – New England Patriots vs New York Jets – $3,800

The Patriots are coming off their best fantasy defensive performance in years when they shut down the Miami Dolphins and received 37+ points. In their last three games (including super bowl 53) the Pats D have given up just 6 points. That’s 0 touchdowns allowed in 12 quarters of football.

They have allowed an average of just 209 passing yards and 37 rushing yards a game. So far this season they have 8 sacks, 5 interceptions (2 returned for touchdowns) and even though their offense is loaded with talent, the defense is the best unit of this football team. They are up against the Jets and their third strong QB, in Foxborough. This could get ugly again!
